What ProsperAI is, and what it sets out to do
ProsperAI is SaaS software for client-end AI editing — a personalization layer that adapts what a person reads on their own device, before it is displayed. It runs as a web app today; the Chrome add-in and the native Android app are built and not yet listed in their stores.
The problem it solves
One article has to serve an eight-year-old, a fourteen-year-old and an adult. Today that is settled centrally — a platform decides what everyone sees, or a filter blocks a whole page for everyone. Neither result fits any particular reader.
ProsperAI moves that decision to the last possible moment and the smallest possible place: the device in the reader's hand, with the standards their own family or teacher set.
How it stays private
There is no ProsperAI server. The browser calls the AI directly with the guardian's own key, and everything else — profiles, editions, the shelf — lives in local storage on the device. Nothing is uploaded, proxied, logged or synced.
That is not a policy we could change our minds about; there is no infrastructure to change it with. Read the privacy policy for what that means in detail, including exactly what does leave the device and when.
What ProsperAI is not
The fastest way to misread this product is as a filter with better manners. It is the opposite shape, and the difference is checkable rather than promised.
Not a censor
Nothing is removed. The source text is never altered, never deleted and never taken down — it stays exactly as published, for every other reader in the world, whatever any household decides on its own device.
A censor subtracts speech from everybody at once. Properizing gives one reader a version they can actually take in, and leaves the speech itself standing.
Not a filter or a blocklist
Nothing is blocked. There is no list of forbidden sites, pages or subjects — a blocked page serves nobody, because the eight-year-old learns nothing from it and the fourteen-year-old is shut out of something they were ready for.
The browser add-in does keep a short list of coarse words — to clean a sentence in the instant before the AI reaches it, never to refuse the page. A passage built around a slur is held until it can be properly re-told, rather than shown patched. Held, not deleted: ProsperAI re-tells, and the reader can always ask for the original.
Not a standard we set
We ship no view about what is suitable. The standards are written by the reader's own family or teacher, and applied on the reader's own device.
Where a household and a classroom disagree, the more protective setting wins in both directions — a teacher cannot loosen what a parent set, and a parent cannot loosen what a teacher set. A guardian's way out is to un-enroll, which is what keeps it a collaboration rather than a takeover.
Not a one-way door, and not a record
A reader can ask to see the original on any page. There is deliberately no path by which the software refuses — the answer is either yes, or it is a person's to give.
And nobody outside the household is watching. There is no account, no ProsperAI server and no sync — so there is nowhere for a reading history to collect, and none is kept. What a reader says about a story is never written down at all, not even for the guardian. Exactly what leaves the device, and when, is set out in the privacy policy.
Why "Make First Amendment, Right"
The tagline is a deliberate play on words. It is not a political claim about which speech should exist — it is a claim about who decides what a particular reader sees, and the answer we build toward is: the reader's own household. Each reading of the phrase is something the product is built to deliver.
1.A right of We the People
The First Amendment protects speech from being silenced. When a platform deletes or throttles a post, it decides for everyone at once — and the speech is gone for all of us. ProsperAI takes the platform out of the loop: every edit happens on the reader's own device, and the original is never altered or removed. Free expression stays free.
2.Make the First Amendment work right
Speech that stays up but overwhelms an eight-year-old, or arrives too heated to be heard, isn't serving its readers. ProsperAI makes free speech work right for each household: every reader gets a version they can genuinely take in — chosen by their family, on their device, not by a censor.
3.The right amendment, by the right AI
An amendment is also an edit. With the right AI tool on the reader's side, every text receives the right amendment for the person about to read it — simplified, softened, or steadied — while the author's words stand untouched, one toggle away.
Original speech preserved. Every reader served. That's making First Amendment, right.
The logo is the same pun: Pro·s·perAI / ProperAI, with the s tucked into the checkmark — and it gives us a verb. Properize (v.): to fit a text to the person about to read it, without changing it for anyone else. The product lives at both prosperai.us and properai.us.
